Sunny Spring Wedding in Crail, on the East Neuk
A few sneak peek images from Joceline and Robin’s (and Mable!) fab wedding day at The Cow Shed, Crail.
J&R’s fab wedding was on a gorgeous spring day. The sun came out, at last, and there was no rain, hooray! The wedding gods were smiling on us. This was my first time shooting a wedding at The Cow Shed, Crail and I loved it! So many cool things and lovely people to shoot.
My day as a The Cow Shed, Crail wedding photographer
Joceline’s first wedding outfit (J had a 2nd outfit for the dancing - V Glam!) was a stunning white sequin dress; Robin and groomsman were very smartly dressed in kilts and Harris tweed suits; bridesmaids were in floral green dresses; and flower girls bounced around in white dresses with sunny sunglasses, all looking very cool.
The Cow Shed, Crail! What a great wedding venue…
…what a great place to get married and invite friends and family from all over the world to come to! So fun with its easy rustic charm, big open spaces (inside and out) for celebrating together and amazing views over the Firth of Forth especially with Joceline and Robin’s amazing weddingy ideas and details strewn all over the beautiful barns and courtyards : )
What a wedding ceremony that was!
Dorothy, the celebrant, got it all going by making everyone laugh and setting the scene for a standout wedding ceremony with so much happening for me to photograph, like the extremely romantic wedding moment when Robin (with Mable in tow) walked back up the aisle to find the waiting Joceline (Mable was amazing and entered the shot at just the right moments for extra cute wedding photos); a whole congregation belting out my favourite Wets song; excellent ambient light for stunning confetti shots as J&R came back down the aisle as a married couple…basically, what a laugh!
Other highlights from this East Neuk wedding day
A magician bewildering everyone; a very cool three piece jazz band Ritz Trio setting the atmosphere; historically short family group shots (nice one J&R!) and quick couple shots allowing J&R maximum time with their friends and family - and hats off to J for going into a field in that dress and on to a dodgy looking double swing to let me gab some shots; very funny speeches - bride, groom, best men, all got a good roasting : ); stunning food from AllWrappedUp Scotland; amazing and scary looking (I need danger money for this) ceilidh dancing with Bridges Function Band and a beautiful spring evening for everyone to party party party!
Here are just a few wedding day moments, there will be more to come in the full blog post soon…
