Hi! Are you getting married at Hampton Court House? Thinking about it? Well, see below for lots of helpful information about Hampton Court House wedding days, and lots of lovely wedding moments to inspire you too!
Helen & Dan’s Hampton Court House Wedding Photography
Helen & Dan’s wedding day was at one of my absolute favourite wedding venues, the stunning Hampton Court House. The weather was meant to be a bit over cast but they actually got lots and lots of lovely sunshine and, wow, did Helen and Dan pack a lot in. There was so many beautiful moments and details for me to capture from lots of pink bridesmaids to flower girls in white and groomsman in blue; bucks fizz; tears running down expensive make up; a proud Dad in tears; selfies; TikTok videos…and that was just the bride prep!
So, to tell you a little about the wedding day, Dan got ready at his Dad’s house in East Molesey and Helen got ready at the stunning The Whyte Hart, Hotel. The ceremony took place in the elegant Main Hall at Hampton Court House followed by confetti and family group shots on the stunning steps that make for a very posh entrance. Helen and Dan took a quick 10 mins out from the reception to grab couple shots in the Rococo Gardens and in the spooky Shell Grotto. Delicious wedding food was then served by Parties to Go in the Great Dining Hall and, after a bouquet toss on yet more beautiful step (photo of the lucky guest who caught the bouquet below), London DJ got the party going with Helen and Dan’s 1st Dance (“I want to be with you every where…”) followed by lots of dancing…which included someone actually dancing with Dan on their shoulders (as if Dan wasn’t tall enough) whilst downing a bottle of beer. Very impressive! Again, see photo evidence below : )
As usual, I had a fab time as a Hampton Court House wedding photographer and hope you enjoy the sneaky peek at some of the images from their big day below. I can’t wait to share the full lot soon.
Hampton Court House Wedding Photography
A Hampton Court House wedding enjoys a unique mixture of history and wildness, just on the outskirts of London
Hampton Court House is very grand and you get this beautiful piece of faded elegance all to yourselves and feel very posh for the day
The light for Hampton Court House wedding photography is sublime and the views from the Grand Hall of deer sunbathing in amongst the ferns and ancient the oaks of Bushy Park are simply stunning
Inside and out Hampton Court House is very photogenic, which makes it a weatherproof wedding venue : )
Grabbing couple shots and group shots during a Hampton Court House wedding is a doddle with the stunning walled gardens, the 300 year old Shell Grotto and with Bushy Park on your doorstep (literally!)
The conservatory is so well lit (obviously) and works so well for party time in golden hour and, as no tables need to be cleared to make way for the band, you dance when you want to dance

Some useful information for a Hampton Court House wedding
Getting there: Hampton Court House is 7 miles from Heathrow airport and 15 miles from the centre of London. The nearest station is Hampton Court, which has direct trains from London Waterloo and there is also on-site parking
Getting ready: there are loads of stylish hotels nearby that have lovely (and photogenic) rooms for you to get dolled up in. My faves are: The Mitre; The White Hart and The Park
Hampton Court House grounds: the walled gardens are very private and are entirely hidden from public view and even have a heart shaped lake, shell grotto and palm trees
Yours for the day: the house and grounds will be yours for the entire day all the way through until midnight with access to the house from 8am to set up
The Grand Hall: overlooking Bushy Park it is approximately 9m x 8m and is licensed to hold civil ceremonies for up to 150 people (120 seated and 30 adults standing on the balcony area). If not needed for a civil ceremony then the hall makes a wonderful room for the drinks reception. There are two fires which can be lit to make it super cosy and their grand piano may be played by a professional player during the ceremony and drinks reception…also, in the this historic room the sandwich was invented!
Wedding breakfast: The great dining hall (complete with a stage measures) 15m x 9m and has the capacity for 150 guests and Hampton Court House can provide tables and chairs
Couple Shots and Group Shots at a Hampton Court House wedding ….
Grabbing shots of you guys and your best buddies at your Hampton Court House wedding photography is super easy and lots of fun. For stunning panoramic shots, Bushy Park is amazing. It is so wild and picturesque and has grumpy looking stags wandering around just to top things off. Sunsets in the park are stunning and, if we catch the light right, make for amazing couple shots and a nice chance for you to take a quick break together. Also, trooping out with the bridal party in tow means we get the chance to capture some ‘informal’ formal group shots which are a bit more fun than just standing in a line. To get permission for this you will need a licence from The Royal Parks which should be sorted out at least a week before your big day. However, if you don’t fancy paying for the licence the Hampton Court House walled gardens are stunning and a great place to go, especially with the 300 year old Shell Grotto available for a moody shot or two. For more information on my approach to couple shots please follow the link…basically I like to be super relaxed, not too posey and not to take too long!
